Today’s NCAA 14 simulation was the closest of the season, by far.

The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers by a score of 22-20.

Shea Patterson, for some weird reason, was taken out late in the game, but he completed 19-of-24 passes for 129 yards and one interception. Dylan McCaffrey, who replaced Patterson, was 5-of-7 for 37 yards and one touchdown.

The game was incredibly run-heavy for Michigan. Karan Higdon ran 26 times for 52 yards (yikes). Patterson ran 13 times, Evans ran six times and McCaffrey ran once.

Receiving-wise, Grant Perry led the bunch with nine catches for 66 yards. Donovan Peoples-Jones, Sean McKeon and Higdon each had four catches, while Zach Gentry’s lone catch was a touchdown.

Defensively, Josh Metellus led the way with seven total tackles. David Long also had seven tackles, but also grabbed one interception. Khaleke Hudson had two other interceptions and two TFLs. Other players with TFLs include Michael Dwumfour (1), Josh Ross (1), Aubrey Solomon (2), Rashan Gary (1) and Chase Winovich (2).

Kicking God Quinn Nordin made 5-of-6 field goals, with the longest coming from 42 yards out. He made his lone extra point.
