The Wolverines are in a matchup against another top ten team and Vegas is being kind to them.

Michigan football’s most recent showdown with a top ten team did not go as they would have liked at Penn State, but another opportunity to grab a big win has emerged with the No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish coming to town this upcoming weekend.

Oddsmakers in Vegas dropped the opening odds on the matchup Sunday with the Wolverines originally set as a four-point favorite with the over/under for total points scored set at 53.5 points, according to Vegas Insider. In the time since the odds were revealed, bets have been coming in favor of the Irish with Notre Dame jumping out to being a one-point favorite and the over/under at 50 points as of Thursday.

Needless to say, it has been interesting to see where this line has moved throughout the week.

This is currently the final scheduled meeting between the Wolverines and Fighting Irish after briefly renewing the classic rivalry last year in South Bend when ND scored a 24-17 victory over Michigan. They have won the last two games in the series and three of the last four, but Michigan leads all-time with a record of 24-17-1.

Saturday’s game will be another night game for the Wolverines, this time at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and be broadcast via ABC.
