Michigan moves up in both polls after Notre Dame blowout

Michigan made a statement Saturday night against Notre Dame and are on the move again in the latest polls.

Another week of college football delivered with seven top 25 teams losing. The theme over these last two weeks has been a top 10 opponent losing to an unranked team, and Oklahoma was the latest victim yesterday.

Meanwhile, No. 19 Michigan poured it on from start to finish over No. 8 Notre Dame under the lights in a monsoon by a final score of 45-14 when it felt like 80 points. Chris Fowler even made that comment during the game at one point, saying “It feels like they are down by 80 but they are down 17.”

The new rankings are out and Michigan moved up in both polls.

No. 3 Ohio State

No. 5 Penn State

No. 13 Minnesota

No. 14 Michigan

No. 18 Wisconsin

No. 19 Iowa

Indiana also received four votes.

Michigan will go on the road next Saturday to take on Maryland at noon. The first College Football Playoff ranking of 2019, the one poll that really matters, comes out after next week’s games.
