Michigan opens as a 16.5-point favorite against Maryland

According to the consensus line, the Michigan Wolverines opened as a 16.5-point favorite over the Maryland Terrapins. The line quickly jumped to 17 points.

The Wolverines being big favorites in this game should not come as a surprise. They are coming off a mammoth victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, while the Terrapins got blown out at No. 13 Minnesota 52-10.

I would expect to see this line get into the 20s by the time it’s all said and done. After a good first couple weeks, Maryland has come back down to Earth, losing to Temple, Penn State, Purdue, Indiana and now Minnesota.

Under Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines have never lost to Maryland. They last traveled to Maryland in 2017, winning 35-10.
