The Michigan Wolverines moved up in both major polls this week after their destruction of the Michigan State Spartans, coming in at No. 12 in both the AP and Coaches polls. The Wolverines were ranked 14th last week in each of them.
There was some movement at the top of the polls other than Georgia and Alabama swapping spots from last week, now coming in at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Minnesota, who was No. 7 coming into the weekend, slid back to No. 11 after losing to Iowa. Utah moved up a spot to No. 7, while Oklahoma is now back in the top-10 at No. 8 after beating Baylor on Saturday.
Here’s where the Big Ten teams rank in the AP poll this week:
No. 2 Ohio State
No. 9 Penn State
No. 11 Minnesota
No. 12 Michigan
No. 14 Wisconsin
No. 19 Iowa
Indiana was the team with the most amount of votes just outside the top 25. Michigan heads there next weekend for a 3:30 kickoff. Illinois picked up one top 25 vote, as well.
