Westgate Las Vegas updates Shea Patterson’s Heisman odds

Some favorable off-season reports have Michigan’s quarterback rising up the ranks

Westgate Las Vegas has updated their Heisman Trophy winner odds, and Michigan’s quarterback has seen a sharp change in price. When the odds were initially released, Shea Patterson was announced at +10000 or 100-to-1. Now, sitting at +4000, a $1 bet on Patterson would net you $40 rather than $100.

I believe this is due to a couple factors. First, Michigan fans always make lines flunky. Think back to 2012’s Michi... never mind, let’s not. Anyway, in addition to the usual forces at work, there seems to be a real sense, finally, that Jim Harbaugh really meant it when he said he’s giving the entire offense over to Josh Gattis. We finally got the first quasi-look in what that could look like.

Frankly, even as one of the more vocal proponents of #SPEEDINSPACE on this site, this overhaul surpasses even my wildest expectations. I hope we have signs. I love teams that have signs.
