Michigan Wolverines quarterback Brandon Peters is to the point in his transfer search where he has scheduled visits coming up.
Peters will be visiting Illinois, Miami (Ohio), and Bowling Green.
According to 247 Sports, Peters will be visiting with Illinois on Saturday, with trips to Bowling Green and Miami the following weekend.
The former No. 61 overall recruit’s career in Michigan netted 672 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs, 52.8 completion percentage during his redshirt freshman season. Peters ultimately struggled in the Outback Bowl and then Shea Patterson transferred to Michigan and was declared eligible for the 2018 season and the rest was history. Early on in the year Peters then was surpassed on the depth chart by Dylan McCaffrey, and by spring ball this year Peters fell behind Joe Milton as well.
Standing at 6-5, teams like Illinois are looking at the upside of bringing in a former top prospect they can polish further to become a key contributor. Peters is expected to announce where he’s headed shortly after these three visits take place.
If Peters was to play for Illinois, they’ll be playing Michigan on October 12th.
