Michigan cornerback Lavert Hill and safety Josh Metellus continue to receive preseason accolades.
After already being named to the Bednarik Award Watch List and Jim Thorpe Award Watch list, the tandem of Metellus and Hill have made the Nagurski Trophy Watch List, which goes to the best overall defensive player in college football.

Hill was a unanimous All Big Ten first-team selection in 2018, a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist, and was selected as a associated press All-American (third-team).
Metellus had 48 tackles (29 solo) in 2018 and 3 interceptions. Metellus earned associated press All Big Ten first-team honors.
The five finalists for the Nagurski Trophy will be announced on Nov. 20 and the award ceremony will take place on Dec. 9.
