Sporting News released their college football preseason All-American teams on Wednesday morning, and the list features to players from Michigan.
DB Lavert Hill and OL Ben Bredeson represent Michigan, receiving second-team honors. The two seniors each played pivotal roles on the team last season.
Hill was a leading force in a very good defensive secondary. He was a third-team All-American last season and a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. Hill was an All-Big Ten First Team player in 2018 and a Second-teamer in 2017.
Hill has three interceptions (two of those being pick six’s) in his collegiate career. PFF also grades Hill as one of the top coverage corners in the Big Ten:

Meanwhile, Ben Bredeson was a team captain last season and likely will hold that honor again this season. He is a two-time second-team All-Big Ten honoree and has started 33 games in his first three season in the maize and blue.
Last season, Bredeson was named a mid-season All-American by the Associated Press.
The Big Ten as a whole is represented well on both the first-team and the second-team. Seven Big Ten players are preseason first-team All-Americans: Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin C Tyler Biadasz, Purdue ATH Rondale Moore, Iowa DL A.J. Espensa, Michigan State DL Kenny Willekes, Ohio State DL Chase Young, and Northwestern LB Paddy Fisher.
The second team includes four more players: Ohio State RB J.K. Dobbins, Michigan State LB Joe Bachie, and the aforementioned Bredeson and Hill.
