Zach Charbonnet injury rumors seemed to dominate the tail end of Wednesday on social media with Michigan fans wondering what is going on. Despite news of a potential knee injury and surgery, former Michigan lineman and program employee Jon Jansen took to SiriusXM to shoot down any of the rumors.
“There has been no surgery,” he said. “And I’ve confirmed that with those inside Schembechler Hall, and I saw Zach yesterday walking around the building with no limp, no crutches. I don’t know where this rumor started, but to all of my knowledge it’s not true, and I fully expect to see him line up again as the starting running back for Michigan on Saturday when they face Wisconsin.”
Well, if you believe Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider (that would be smart), the genesis of the rumor might have been from a Facebook group ($).
It’s possible that Charbonnet has missed practice time this week, but those in the know seem to think that everything here has been overblown and filled with inaccuracies like a middle school game of telephone.
For now, we wait and see what happens ahead of Saturday.
