After week four, we know more about Michigan’s football program and unfortunately it’s not too positive. The test at Wisconsin spiraled out of control in a game where the Wolverines were overwhelmed, and now they have dropped in both polls accordingly.
The Wolverines slid to No. 20 in the Coaches Poll this week, while dropping to No. in the AP Poll.
The Big Ten saw movement in week four after Wisconsin handled Michigan in the conference marquee matchup.
AP Top-25 Big Ten Rankings
No. 5 Ohio State
No. 8 Wisconsin
No. 12 Penn State
No. 14 Iowa
No. 20 Michigan
No. 25 Michigan State
You can find the entire poll here.
Michigan had four more turnovers, was 0-for-10 in third downs, rushed for only 40 yards, and allowed Wisconsin to have 487 total yards. Nothing went right on either side of the ball and the team has a lot to improve quick. Let’s hope the Wolverines find part of their game against Rutgers before playing likely three out of four ranked teams in the next month.
