The No. 19 Michigan Wolverines are taking on the No. 14 Iowa Hawkeyes next Saturday at The Big House, and the Vegas odds are in.
The Wolverines opened the day as a 7-point favorite over the Hawkeyes, according to Vegas Insider, with the over/under set at 47. At the time of this posting, Michigan is down to a 5-point favorite with the over/under still at 47.
The 3-1 Wolverines come into the game with a little bit of momentum after beating Rutgers 52-0 on Saturday, which led to Scarlet Knights head coach Chris Ash’s firing.
Iowa is 4-0 on the year, with victories over two opponents Michigan has faced already, beating Middle Tennessee 48-3 and Rutgers 30-0.
The last time Michigan and Iowa faced off was in 2016, a game in which Wilton Speight got injured in the second half and the Hawkeyes wound up winning 14-13. Iowa is a fundamentally sound team that should be respected year in and year out with head coach Kirk Ferentz leading the program.
Saturday’s game in Ann Arbor is scheduled for a 12 p.m. kickoff and will be aired on FOX.
