The kickoff time has been set for the Michigan Wolverines football team’s trip to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Oct. 24. According to a release from the school on Monday morning, the two teams will renew the Battle for the Little Brown Jug at 7:30 p.m. ET in a game broadcast nationally via ABC.
Michigan is 2-0 against Minnesota in the Jim Harbaugh era with a victory sealed with a goal-line stand in Minneapolis on Halloween in 2015 and a blowout win at the Big House in PJ Fleck’s first season on the job in 2017. Minnesota comes into this year as one of the favorites to win the Big Ten West and play for a conference championship.
This will be the third time that Michigan has opened the season on the road at night since Harbaugh was hired. The Wolverines are 0-2 in those games with losses at Utah in 2015 and Notre Dame in 2018.
Also tucked into the announcement is the unsurprising news that Michigan and Ohio State’s meeting on Dec. 12 will be a noon kickoff on FOX. We will have more on this story and kickoff times as they become available.
