The Michigan Wolverines appear to be adding some more beef to its offensive line depth moving forward in the form of transfer help. Former Louisiana Tech guard Willie Allen announced on Thursday evening his commitment to the program after it was reported earlier this week he had entered the portal. He had previously opted out of the 2020 season after missing Louisiana Tech’s first two games of the season due to COVID-19-related issues.

“With so much going on in this country, my health and COVID-19 impacting me personally, I have decided to opt out for the 2020 season,” Allen said in a statement in late September. “I look forward to returning to the field in 2021.”
Allen, a former LSU commitment and four-star recruit in the class of 2016, stands at 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds. As our friend Josh Henschke points out, this is an addition for the 2021 season.
To add to this, Allen will be with the program for the 2021 season and cannot play this season even if he did want to opt back in due to the timing of Michigan's semester.

We’ll have more on his addition as the story develops.
