Reality is setting in, this time in a good way. Michigan and the Big Ten’s season begins next weekend. If that wasn’t enough positive news for Michigan fans, ESPN announced that College Gameday will be in Minneapolis next Saturday for the Wolverines matchup against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, and Desmond Howard will be on the scene for Gameday, with Lee Corso going remote from his home this year. When it’s time for the game itself later that night, Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler will be on the call with Maria Taylor reporting from the sidelines.

The season begins for Michigan with a visit from the College Gameday crew, and will likely end with one as well when the Wolverines travel to Columbus, Ohio to take on Ohio State in December.

The Brown Jug is on the line for Michigan and Minnesota, with Michigan currently an underdog in Vegas and by most football pundits. With a new starting quarterback and new look offensive line, Michigan doesn’t have time for growing pains during a truncated season. Under the lights in Minnesota, on ESPN, with the top college football crew on the call, it doesn’t get much bigger right out of the gate for Michigan. Just win, baby.
