Most Wolverine fans are optimistic at the halfway point.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Michigan Wolverines fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

Earlier this week, SB Nation/Maize n Brew threw a poll your way that asked several questions about the 2021 Michigan Wolverines’ football team at the halfway point of the season.

One of those questions involved how Michigan will finish the season, and 43% of responders said the Wolverines will go 4-2 the rest of the way, giving them a final record of 10-2. Another 33% of people said they’d go 5-1 in their last six games, while 14% and 9% said 6-0 and 3-3, respectively.

With a strong 6-0 record to begin the year, what was Michigan’s best win? This one is pretty split, with 48% of fans saying last week’s game at Nebraska, while 45% of fans say the Week 5 win at Wisconsin.

The Michigan midseason MVP, according to 62% of responders, is, to probably no one’s surprise, defensive end Aidan Hutchinson. The remaining vote getters were Blake Corum (14%), Jake Moody (13%) and Cade McNamara (10%).

These last two are the most intriguing to me. We asked fans how many games the Wolverines will win against Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State. The results are in, and 44% believe Michigan will win two of those games. Another 37% believe Michigan wins just one, while 15% believe Michigan will win all three of them. The remaining 5% believe Michigan won’t win any of them.

Finally, we asked a simple yes or no question — will Michigan be playing for a Big Ten East title in the final week of the season against Ohio State. As of now, 53% of respondents believe Michigan will be playing with that on the line, while 47% believe the Wolverines will not.
