This past week, we asked Michigan Wolverines football fans who they thought was the best offseason coaching hire was up to this point in the season, and the results are in for…defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, who accumulated nearly 67% of the votes.
Running backs coach Mike Hart received 21% of the other votes, while newly-named co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Sherrone Moore got 10%. The others voted on were cornerbacks coach Steve Clinkscale (2%), and linebackers coach George Helow and tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh, who each got .15%.
We also asked fans which player has surprised thus far, and a whopping 79% of fans voted for outside linebacker David Ojabo.
Redshirt freshman linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green received 12% of the votes, while receivers Daylen Baldwin and A.J. Henning got 6% and 3%, respectively.
Finally, we asked which player needs to step up more during the second half of the season, and this one was real close between two receivers.
But 37% of the voters say Mike Sainristil needs to do a bit more. Another 32% of people say Roman Wilson, while 18% and 13% say cornerback DJ Turner and defensive tackle Donovan Jeter, respectively.
