Following a brutal 37-33 loss to Michigan State yesterday, the newest AP and Coaches Polls remained somewhat friendly to the Wolverines.

In the AP Poll, Michigan only slipped down to No. 9 while in the Coaches Poll, the Wolverines fell to No. 10. On the flip side, the Spartans jumped up to No. 5 in the AP and No. 6 in the Coaches Poll.

Around the conference, three Big Ten East teams remain in the top 10 with Michigan State at No. 5, Ohio State at No. 6 and Michigan at No. 9. However, only two other teams remain ranked in Iowa at No. 19 and Penn State at No. 22. Wisconsin and Minnesota are in the ‘Other Receiving Votes’ category.

Elsewhere around the country, the top four remained unchanged in Georgia, Cincinnati, Alabama and Oklahoma. Auburn, UTSA and BYU were the largest leapers as they jumped up to 12th, 16th, and 17th respectively. Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Iowa fell the furthest down to 15th, 18th and 19th respectively.

Michigan will look to get back on track Saturday at the Big House against Indiana.
