There was speculation throughout the week, and it’s all but certain that Michigan receiver Roman Wilson will be held out of the game Saturday night at Nebraska.
Per The Michigan Insider, Wilson sustained the injury in the Wisconsin game and how long he will be sidelined remains to be seen. “He is expected to be reevaluated after Michigan’s bye week, which will come after tonight’s game,” Steve Lorenz reported.
Wilson was starting to come into his own for Michigan, and had a breakout game in Michigan’s win against Wisconsin. Wilson hauled in 6 receptions for 81 yards in the 38-17 victory, making one spectacular catch deep down the field.

Michigan has a bye next week before they take on Northwestern at Michigan Stadium on Oct. 23. While Michigan’s depth at receiver seems strong, losing Wilson is a blow, especially with Ronnie Bell already out for the season.
Wideouts such as Mike Sainristil, Cornelius Johnson, A.J. Henning, Daylen Baldwin, and Andrel Anthony will look to step up with Wilson out. The sooner Wilson can return, the better.
