Following the Michigan Wolverines’ loss to Michigan State, the bowl projections have predictably moved them down a slot in the Big Ten picking order, into a range where the bowl games have become very familiar in the Jim Harbaugh era.
ESPN
Kyle Bonagura: Peach Bowl (Atlanta, GA) vs. Wake Forest, Dec. 30
Mark Schlabach: Peach Bowl (Atlanta, GA) vs. Ole Miss, Dec. 30
College Football News
Peach Bowl (Atlanta, GA) vs. Notre Dame, Dec. 30
ESPN and College Football News are still high on the Wolverines, predicting them in a New Year’s Six bowl. All of them chose the Peach Bowl, but the opponents are all from different conferences. Notre Dame keeps popping up, but usually in the Fiesta Bowl, while Ole Miss and Wake Forest have occasionally been mentioned as possible opponents.
Action Network
Citrus Bowl (Orlando, FL) vs. Kentucky, Jan. 1
CBS Sports
Outback Bowl (Tampa, FL) vs. Arkansas, Jan. 1
247Sports
Outback Bowl (Tampa, FL) vs. Arkansas, Jan. 1
Michigan has played in the Citrus and Outback Bowl twice each during Harbaugh’s tenure and it looks like it has a good shot to end up there again at the end of the year. Both CBS Sports and 247Sports agree that the Outback Bowl would be against Arkansas, while Action Network thinks the Wolverines will be at the Citrus Bowl against Kentucky.
