Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines have been overhauling the program since the end of last season, including a facelift of the recruiting operations. It appears the work continues as we head into the dog days of the offseason.
According to a report from FootballScoop, Michigan is looking to add Vanderbilt on-campus recruiting coordinator Christina DeRuyter to the staff.
DeRuyter, the daughter of college coaching veteran Tim DeRuyter, had joined ranks of the SEC as a member of Clark Lea’s staff at Vanderbilt back in March.
With the Commodores, DeRuyter had the opportunity to join forces with a completely revamped personnel and recruiting staff led by former 247 director of scouting Barton Simmons as well as Nik Valdiserri and Gerald “Smoke” Dixon.
Prior to joining Vanderbilt’s staff, DeRuyter held the same role at Texas Tech in addition to duties as assistant director of football operations.
Michigan shook up its recruiting department last month by replacing Matty Dudek with Courtney Morgan and the work continues in a very different-looking Schembechler Hall. We will keep an eye on any other potential additions should they take place.
