WATCH: Talkin’ Transfers Episode 3 - Alan Bowman

Breaking down the film, stats, recruitment, and everything else you need to know about the transfer quarterback.

The Michigan Wolverines are no stranger to quarterback depth issues. You only have to go back to the 2020 season to see an example of where the quarterback room was almost left barren with both Joe Milton and Cade McNamara battling injuries throughout the season. With the transfer of Alan Bowman, Michigan gains much needed depth and an experienced competitor from Texas Tech.

Bowman burst onto the scene as a true freshman, amassing over 2,600 yards and almost 70% completion with 17 touchdowns. Those are exceptional numbers, but he would not replicate them over the course of his next couple seasons. Battling injuries of his own, the 6’3 215 pound signal caller was responsible for 1,600 yards through the air in 2020, but a slightly lower completion percentage, as well as 7 interceptions to go with 10 touchdowns.

He enters Ann Arbor with the goal to compete for a starting job right away. What do his chances look like? Dive into the video and let’s answer that very question.
