Last week, I covered which three players I believed would be breakout candidates for the Michigan Wolverines on the offensive side of the ball. Today, we look at the other side. There are established top-tier talents like Aiden Hutchinson and Dax Hill and some veterans in Donovan Jeter and Josh Ross. Add in almost an entirely new defensive staff and some key departures at linebacker and defensive line positions, though, and there’s bound to be some new faces this year.
Which of those new faces is going to break through and become key members of the Wolverine defense? In this video, I choose my top three candidates for players I think are poised to raise some Wolverine fan eyebrows and help stabilize the defensive side of the ball, which is the side most fans are (understandably) more worried about heading into this season. Let me know your thoughts on names I should have included in this list, or if you think a different order is warranted.
