Three-star 2015 athlete John Kelly (Oak Park, Michigan) has been offered by the Michigan Wolverines, according to his Twitter account.

Kelly plays both running back and defensive back for his high school team. Michigan extended an offer to him as a defensive back, according to Scout.com's Allen Trieu.
The news comes on the heels of four-star defensive back Garrett Taylor announcing earlier Monday that he had decomitted from Michigan, leaving the Wolverines with no committed cornerbacks in their 2015 class.
Kelly is good friends with 2015 running back commit Mike Weber, so that could be a relationship the Wolverines use to their advantage in trying to bring him in. There is a glaring need at defensive back in the class now, so Kelly becomes one of their top priorities at the position.
According to 247's Crystal Ball predictions, Michigan State is the leader for Kelly's services with 59 percent of the predictions in favor of the Spartans. It is not clear at this time how the offer from Michigan will affect his recruitment.
