Tyree Kinnel visiting West Virginia this weekend, says he is still a U-M commit

The 2015 defensive back commit will be taking an unofficial visit to Morgantown this Saturday with his coach and a teammate.

With the state of Michigan football right now, many committed players continue to keep their options open in case a coaching change is made after the season, which looks more and more likely with each loss this season.

Four-star 2015 defensive back commit Tyree Kinnel (Dayton, Ohio) is one of these players and he tells Steve Lorenz of 247 Sports that he will be visiting West Virginia this weekend for their game against TCU.

Regardless of the visit, he maintains that he is still committed to University of Michigan.

"I'm still committed to Michigan, and Michigan is where I want to be," Kinnel told Lorenz. "I just want to survey options and have a back-up plan in case something was to happen. I am going to go to West Virginia this weekend with my coach and one of my teammates who is committed there. It's just an unofficial visit."

Kinnel is taking the same approach to his commitment as several of the other players are. Michigan's chances to keep him still seem pretty good, as he has no official visits planned as of today, but we will continue to monitor the situation as the season goes on.
