Michigan football's 2015 class of incoming freshman got a little bit bigger on Saturday, as defensive end Jack Dunaway (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan) committed to the program as a preferred walk-on after taking a visit to Ann Arbor. He is teammates with quarterback commit Alex Malzone and wide receiver target Grant Perry.
A "preferred walk-on" means that a player is assured a spot on a team, but that the program is unable to extend a scholarship offer.

Dunaway has ties to the university, as his father Craig played tight end for the Wolverines for Bo Schembechler.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of it," Dunaway told me. "Michigan is a special place and it's where I have always wanted to be."
He said the visit went well and that he was happy to meet some of his future teammates.
"It was great," he said. "I met some of the guys already committed (Darrin Kirkland Jr. and Tyree Kinnel) and seeing the team win was great as usual."
Dunaway isn't currently ranked by any of the major recruiting services, but there has still be a lot of interest coming from Michigan in his recruitment. He touched on some of the coaches he has been in contact with and who he spoke with during yesterday's visit.
"(I spoke with) Coach Mattison. He has been the one recruiting me since my junior year," he said. "I also spoke with Coach Nussmeier, Coach Hecklinski and Coach Manning."
Dunaway will be joining the team "as soon as possible" after he graduates high school this spring.
