2016 Michigan Football Commitment Performance Recap: Enis Has Another Monster Game

All but three of Michigan's 2016 football commitments that played this past weekend went home with a win. That includes another monster game from Kiante Enis, more touchdown passes from Brandon Peters and both receiver commits making plays on both sides of the ball.

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

While most Michigan fans will never forget this past weekend for one horrible reason, once again, this was a weekend to remember for commit Kiante Enis. Not only did he lead his team to their 7th win of the season, he also put on a show (once again) and racked up five touchdown on the ground. And he wasn't the only commit to have a big game:

QB Brandon Peters vs Noblesville

While his full stat line has yet to come out, Peters led Avon to their 6th straight win by beating Noblesville 46-6 (per MaxPreps) in his last regular season game of his senior season. Though the final score was different than the MaxPreps report, Elite 11 Director Brian Stumpf tweeted about Peters' performance:

QB/ATH Victor Viramontes vs Corona

Viramontes led Norco to their fourth straight win of his senior campaign with 4 touchdowns in a 30-19 win over Corona on Friday night:

  • Final Stats: 229 passing yards and 2 TDs; 79 rushing yards for 2 TDs; 2 two point conversions

RB Kingston Davis and LB Dytarious Johnson vs Auburn

No, not that Auburn. But I'm sure Gus Malzahn was still happy with the result as the Auburn Tigers high school team knocked off the Michigan commit duo and Prattville, 21-17 on senior night and fell to 5-3 on the season.

  • Davis' Final Stats: 25 carries for 141 yards and 1 TD

ATH Kiante Enis vs Centerville

Winchester absolutely blew out Centerville in their last regular season win of the season, 70-21, behind Enis' five touchdown performance. The Golden Falcons moved to 7-2 on the season as they head into the state playoffs.
  • Final Stats: 12 carries for 173 yards and 5 TDs; 44 return yards; 217 total yards

ATH Chris Evans vs North Central

Evans and Ben Davis took care of business against a winless North Central team on Friday night as they won 41-10 and moved to 5-4 on the season. Though I was unable to find his final stats, he did have a nice 80(ish) yard run:

WR Ahmir Mitchell vs Oakcrest

Mitchell helped lead Cedar Creek to their fourth win of the season, 40-14, by making big plays on both sides of the ball. But it was his best offensive showing of the season that was the true game changer:

  • Final Stats: 6 catches for 130 yards

WR Brad Hawkins and DE Ron Johnson vs Glassboro

Like Mitchell, Hawkins was able to help lead his team to victory by making big plays on both sides of the ball. Camden knocked off Glassboro, 33-13, and moved to 4-2 on the season.

TE Sean McKeon vs Fitchburg

Make that two wins in a row for McKeon and Shepherd Hill as they took down Fitchburg, 41-26, and moved the Rams to 2-4 on the season.

OT Erik Swenson vs Willowbrook

In the second to last game of his senior season, Swenson and Downers Grove South had a heartbreaking loss to Willowbrook, 23-22, and fell to 2-6 on the year.

OT Devery Hamilton vs Archbishop Spalding

Ranked the #10 team in the country by MaxPreps, Gilman and Hamilton moved to 7-1 on the season with a 48-7 win over Archbishop Spalding.

OL Ben Bredeson vs Muskego

For the first time this season, Bredeson and Arrowhead lost as Muskego got the better of them in a 27-20 win. This moves Arrowhead to 8-1 on the season.

DL Rashad Weaver vs Nova

After three straight losses, Weaver and Cooper City (3-4) got off the schneid with a 13-2 win over Nova and helped keep their playoff hopes alive with three games remaining on the year.

LB David Reese vs Birmingham Seaholm

Reese and the Falcons got their fifth win of the season and took another step closer to the Michigan state playoffs with their 44-35 win over Seaholm.

CB Sir Patrick Scott vs Avalon

Scott and his Riverdale Baptist Crusaders moved to 5-3 on the season after a 49-34 win over the Black Knights.
