2016 DE Commit Rashad Weaver Recaps Senior Season, Plans for OV to Michigan in January

The three-star prospect tells MnB he's 100-percent to Michigan.

Class of 2016 defensive end commit Rashad Weaver's (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) next visit to Michigan will be in the form of an official, he told MnB on Tuesday evening.

Weaver, who is a three-star prospect, said he plans on making it back up to Ann Arbor sometime in January. He just finished up his senior season at Cooper City HS, where he put up 53 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, a pick-six, two blocked punts, two blocked field goals and six pass breakups.

Weaver feels like he took a big step forward this season.

"(I've improved on) attacking the person in front of me, extending arms," he said. "And using more moves."

Regardless of the stats he put up in 2015, Weaver knows there is much work to be done before he hits campus next Summer.

"Muscle, muscle, muscle," he said. "Just have to get bigger. Those are grown men in college, not high schoolers anymore."

He committed to Michigan back in June following Michigan's satellite tour through the state of Florida. Weaver said he does not hear from the staff all that much, but that defensive coordinator D.J.Durkin called to check in last week.

Weaver also said he remains firm in his commitment to the Wolverines. His senior season highlights are posted above.
