This one is a bit unexpected.
Michigan landed a signing day commitment from running back Karan Higdon (Sarasota, Florida) on Wednesday afternoon, flipping his pledge from Iowa to the Wolverines at the last minute.

Higdon is a three-star prospect and the 40th ranked running back in the class, according to the 247 Composite. What he brings is a faster-back than they have on the roster, sans maybe Drake Johnson. Higdon's 40-yard dash time is impressive (4.45).
While he is Michigan's lone running back so far in the cycle, Scout's Sam Webb maintains that Higdon's commitment will not affect what happens later on today with four-star running back Mike Weber (Detroit, Michigan). Weber is expected to announce his decision around 10 a.m.
