It's been a busy day with some of Michigan's targeted prospects thus far. A pair of recent offers and official visitors made their announcements on official on signing day, as well.
The first is four-star linebacker Roquan Smith (Montezuma, Georgia), who has committed and signed with the UCLA Bruins, who have been a thorn in the side of of the Wolverines on the trail.
Smith was offered by defensive coordinator DJ Durkin after he was hired in Ann Arbor. Smith and Durkin had a very good relationship on the trail when he was at Florida and it carried over to Michigan, where they were able to get Smith in for an official visit.
News on Smith went quiet the last few weeks and it became apparent Michigan was an unlikely destination.
The second target that announced in the 11 a.m. hour was three-star defensive back Jarius Adams (Palm Beach Gardens, Florida), who reaffirmed his commitment to Rutgers. He had taken an official visit to Michigan, as well.
Michigan still has four known prospects they are waiting on announcements for in Van Jefferson, Shelton Johnson, Tyrone Wheatley Jr. and Iman Marshall. We'll continue to monitor those updates as the afternoon goes on.
