Michigan kicked off its first day of satellite camps on Thursday and it paid immediate dividends, as they landed a commitment from 2016 running back Kiante Enis (Winchester, Indiana).

Enis is a three-star prospect and the 52nd-ranked running back in the class, per the 247 Composite. Regardless of rankings, this kid can play, rushing for over 3,000 yards last season and 49 touchdowns as a junior.
Here is 247's Clint Brewster on Enis' game: (FREE)
Enis is a hard-nosed downhill runner that picks up yards after contact and and breaks tackles. The amount of tackles he broke last year on the way to rushing for over 3,000 yards is eye-popping. Enis is a tough player that doesn't shy away from contact. He shows some explosive power when he makes a cut but doesn't dance around too much. Enis is a one-cut-and-go type of back. He's got a quick twitch to him and he can cover ground with good straight-line speed once he gets in the open. He shows patience once he gets the ball but presses the hole when he should.
Enis is not the most fluid running back and his body correlates more towards a receiver or safety but there's no denying the success he's had as a running back in high school. It would be tough for me if I were a coach not to give him a look at running back to start out with. Enis' physicality and toughness might suite best as a safety in college because he's also got length and size for the position at 6-foot-2, and 195-pounds listed.
As far as what this means for the other running back from Indiana, four-star Chris Evans, I'm told that it still would be a huge surprise if he did not commit to Michigan, either.
We'll have to wait and see what happens, especially seeing as Enis could possibly be a safety, but regardless, Michigan is adding some much needed speed and athleticism to its roster.
Khalid Kareem announcement looming
Class of 2016 defensive end Khalid Kareem (Farmington, Michigan) revealed via his Twitter account that he will make his college decision on June 24.
I will be announcing my college commitment on June 24th.
— Khalid Kareem (@khalid_kareem53) June 4, 2015
Kareem is a four-star prospect and the 11th-ranked defensive end in the 2016 class, per the 247 Composite.
I like Michigan's chances here more so than perhaps a few weeks ago. Kareem has been on campus several times and the staff seems to have made him a priority. It will still be tough to beat out Michigan State here, but the Wolverines will definitely be in the mix when he makes his decision.
Harbaugh's first satellite camp a success
Obviously, the first satellite camp in Indiana has already paid dividends with the Wolverines getting a commitment, but these are about so much more than that.
It is important for Michigan to keep getting its name out there and build the new regime's brand. Having a coach with a rock-star personality in a recruit's backyard is going to really pay off.
There was the narrative that Jim Harbaugh wouldn't leave the NFL because he didn't like to recruit. Without further explanation needed, here are a few pictures from yesterday that seem to disprove that in a big way.

Myth busted.
2017 RB offered
On Thursday, Michigan offered 2017 running back Sione Heimuli-Lund (Salt Lake City, Utah), according to 247's Justin Hopkins.
Heimuli-Lund is a four-star prospect and the 15th-ranked running back in the 2017 class, per the 247 Composite.
