Dwumfour is a three-star prospect and the 58th-ranked defensive tackle in the class, according to the 247 Composite. He is a high school teammate of running back signee Kareem Walker and very good friends with Rashan Gary, the nation's top prospect and the Wolverines' biggest fish to fry before signing day.
It remains to be seen what this will mean for players like Jordan Elliott and Boss Tagaloa. I still believe Michigan would like to have one, if not both of them, but Elliott's status remains in flux after a weekend visit to Texas.
Dwumfour is the 25th commitment of Michigan's 2016 recruiting class. National Signing Day is Feb. 3.
