Hudson is a three-star prospect and the 23rd-ranked safety in the 2016 class, per the 247 Composite. Though, he is considered a rising player after a strong senior season and appearance in the Semper Fidelis All-American game a few weeks back.
He picked up an offer from the Wolverines in November and Michigan had sort of taken control of his recruitment from there, though Penn State was a big factor, as well. Hudson took an official visit to Ann Arbor the weekend of Jan. 15 and to Happy Valley last weekend.
We spoke to Hudson last week, where he said that the coaching staff and academics were a big reason why the Wolverines were a contender for his services.
He becomes the 26th commitment of Michigan Football's 2016 recruiting class, which is the first full cycle for Jim Harbaugh and staff.
