WR Target announces commitment date
Four-star receiver Tarik Black announced his commitment date on Twitter Sunday. The 2017 Cheshire Academy target is set to commit January 7th during the US Army All-American Bowl, which (as always) is sure to be an important weekend for recruiting. Black took an official visit to Ann Arbor on September 3rd and is thought to be leaning towards Michigan, but late pushes from Alabama and Auburn have kept the recruiting race open.
Peoples-Jones sets stat line on fire
The nation's top receiver, Donovan Peoples-Jones, proved his ranking again Friday evening as Cass Tech obliterated Pershing for a fourth-straight berth in the Detroit City Title. The Michigan target finished with two punt return touchdowns, a receiving touchdown, a touchdown pass, and an interception in Cass Tech's 62-0 win. Peoples-Jones will face fellow Michigan target Ambry Thomas and the King Crusaders at Ford Field Friday evening for the City Title.

Kelly-Powell visits Madison for OSU game
The week after his Cass Tech teammate Donovan Peoples-Jones watched the Buckeyes win in person, four-star Safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell traveled up to Madison for the Badgers' primetime loss at Camp Randall Stadium. The fourth-ranked player in the state of Michigan rubbed shoulders with Wisconsin legend Barry Alvarez during his visit, but ultimately was not very vocal about his time on campus.
Michigan is a favorite still for Kelly-Powell, and a commitment from him could go a long way for Michigan's recruiting efforts for teammate Donovan Peoples-Jones and cousin Ambry Thomas. The Cass Tech pipeline has been a big resource for the Wolverines, and Michigan hopes to capitalize again with this recruiting class.
