Results of "The Game" Cause Stir Amongst Michigan Targets

For all three readers who may have missed Saturday's regular season finale against Ohio State, the game came down to a crucial fourth down call in double overtime. Twitter has been full of criticism of the officials' spot of the ball, which had it been marked short would have ended the game in favor of the Wolverines. A handful of recruits were among those calling out the very close call:

Four-Star DB Ambry Thomas

Four-Star WR Tarik Black

Four-Star DE Donovan Jeter

Regardless of opinion, the call is a highly-scrutinized aspect of one of the most memorable Michigan-Ohio State games in history, but a loss doesn't seem to be impacting Michigan's recruiting efforts.

Peoples-Jones, Thomas Lead Teams to MHSAA State Championships

Behind the stellar play of Michigan targets Donovan Peoples-Jones and Ambry Thomas, Cass Tech and Detroit King each captured an MHSAA Football State Championship over the weekend. Peoples-Jones grabbed six receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns, while Thomas added two receptions for 18 yards and one touchdown as well as two tackles and one pass breakup. Thomas' cousin, Jaylen Kelly-Powell, committed to the Wolverines earlier this month and could be an important piece in securing commitments from Thomas and Cass Tech teammate Donovan Peoples-Jones. Peoples-Jones also wore Yeezy cleats for the game Saturday, which is obviously one of the many reasons Cass Tech deserved a win.
