2016 OL Commit Michael Onwenu to Make Final College Decision Between U-M and MSU on Tuesday

The Wolverines have their fingers crossed that they will hold on to one of the most talented prospects in the 2016 class.

Well, here is a bit of surprising news.

Class of 2016 offensive guard Michael Onwenu (Detroit, Michigan) will make his final college decision on Tuesday night between Michigan and Michigan State, according to Cityballers.com.

The decision will be broadcast live on the Cityballers podcast at 8 p.m. ET.

Onwenu has been committed to the Wolverines since June 2015 and has been very solid in his commitment throughout the process. The four-star prospect recently took a surprise official visit to MSU, which caused some panic among the fanbase.

Regardless, the staff reportedly still feels very good about him signing with Michigan and those in the know seem to back that up that sentiment.

Michigan has dealt with some offensive line attrition in recent weeks, so losing Onwenu would certainly hurt a bit if he were to choose Michigan State.

Where we stand tonight, I'm told things look extremely solid here still for the Wolverines, but this surprising development is still a bit out of left field. We will see what happens tomorrow night.
