Eno Benjamin is a 4-star RB out of Wylie, Texas. Benjamin announced earlier this week he would be visiting Michigan on March 8th.

Maize 'n Brew caught up with Benjamin about his Michigan offer and more on Thursday.

"I love Michigan," he said. "Over the years I have become a Michigan fan. Mainly, because my running backs coach is a (Michigan fan) and we always watch the games together."

Typically, Michigan faces a challenge when recruiting kids in Texas because they grow up fans as one of the dozens of D-1 football schools in their state. In the rare case of Benjamin's, they have the advantage with him growing up a fan. This same thing played to their advantage with a certain two-way player from New Jersey in 2014's class, Jabrill Peppers, who grew up a fan of Michigan and played a huge role in his recruitment to UM.

Benjamin has a pretty stacked offer list across the board. 247 list his warmest schools as Texas Tech, Texas, Houston, Michigan, Iowa, and Boise State. As noted before, the Texas product has three Texas schools in there, so proximity to home could play a role, although he didn't note that as an issue to us.

"Michigan is near the top (of my list)," he said. "They're looking for a guy who can do it all. Run between the tackles, and catch the ball out of the backfield."

Watching Benjamin's film, it's obvious that's something he brings to the table.

"Yes, easily," was how Benjamin responded when asked if he could bring Michigan that type of game.

Benjamin is expecting a lot out of his visit to Michigan on March 8th.

"I am expecting to be blown away by everything I will see," he said.
