Jim Harbaugh has landed his big fish.

Class of 2016 defensive tackle Rashan Gary (Paramus, New Jersey) has committed to the Michigan Wolverines, he announced on ESPN's SportsCenter on National Signing Day.

Gary is a five-star prospect and the consensus top-ranked player in the class, according to all of the major recruiting services.

Clemson came on strong down the stretch, but it appears that the chance to play with good friends and a coaching staff that has made him a priority throughout the process proved too much. They fought off every school that made a run along the way.

This commitment is huge in so many ways for the Wolverines. It not only helps them further put their stamp on the state of New Jersey, but it is also a landmark decision that shows that the cream of the crop talent is willing to spend their college years in Ann Arbor.

Gary joins running back Kareem Walker, wide receivers Ahmir Mitchell and Brad Hawkins, defensive end Ron Johnson and defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour, who is also one of his best friends, as Michigan commits from the Garden State in 2016.
