Samuels is a four-star prospect, the 21st-ranked player at his position and the state of New Mexico's top recruit, according to the 247 Composite ranking system.
He was on campus this weekend visiting for the spring game and joins a backfield that already has two other commitments in this cycle in AJ Dillon and Kurt Taylor.
Samuels has been a combine star and has some very good measurables. He is currently Nike's national leader in their SPARQ rating.
