2017 three-star defensive back Benjamin St-Juste, a Michigan commit, has told Maize n Brew that he is actively recruiting 2017 four-star defensive end Luiji Vilain to the program.

"I personally think he will come to Michigan, but we have to wait until his commitment," St-Juste said about Vilain. "He has some great schools in the mix like USC and Virginia Tech."

Vilain, from Alexandria, Virginia, has offers from Michigan, USC, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Boston College, Duke, Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Tennessee, UCLA, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Texas A&M, USF, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin. He has been recruited to Michigan by Chris Partridge and Brian Smith.

Regarding his own commitment, St-Juste said, "Everything about Michigan was great! The coaches were sociable and great, great education, great team on the rise since Jim [Harbaugh] came in and the defensive scheme is a man to man press coverage. Michigan was the first team to recognize my talent and give me a chance to play D1 football."

St-Juste is from Montreal, Quebec. The are slight rule differences between Canadian football and American football, but the junior will not need to make any adjustments because he plays defensive back. St-Juste is quick on his feet and very agile for being 6-foot-3. St-Juste is patient in his press technique and does a great job of using his hands when he presses receivers.

"I would like to improve my hands to intercept every ball coming my way," St-Juste said.
