2020 4-star WR Porter Rooks puts Michigan in top 8

Rooks is one of the best receivers in his class.

Cincinnati v Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines aren’t quite done with the 2019 class, but it is never too early to look ahead to the 2020 class, and one of the best receivers in the 2020 class put the Wolverines in his top eight last night.

4-star Porter Rooks announced his top eight on Twitter, including the Wolverines, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, NC State and Tennessee.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Rooks is the second-ranked player in North Carolina, the ninth-ranked receiver and the 52nd overall player in his class.

This is great news for the Wolverines, as they will certainly be looking to address the wide receiver position in the 2020 class after only acquiring one in the 2018 class (Ronnie Bell) and only having one true receiver in the 2019 class so far in 3-star Quintel Kent.

With plenty of in-state talent at the wide receiver position in the 2020 class, it wouldn’t be a surprise for Michigan to sign four receivers next season like in 2017.
