This was a short commitment for Baldwin, who was part of the class for less than a month. After visiting for the Penn State game, the Virginia native somewhat surprisingly gave his pledge to the Wolverines on Nov. 4.
The Michigan Insider’s Steve Lorenz has made it a point to say this is not a surprise to the coaching staff, and that it isn’t related to the Ohio State game on Saturday ($). When someone joins a class unexpectedly and leaves in this short period of time, there’s usually something going on under the surface.
