High school football players are not praised by former NFL players every day, but that is exactly what happened to one future Michigan Wolverine.
Former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer recently posted a short evaluation of 2019 4-star quarterback commit Cade McNamara on an Elite 11 spotlight.
McNamara took notice and posted this thanks to Dilfer on Twitter.

Dilfer, a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and former first round pick, had this to say about McNamara:
“McNamara is a dynamic leader who cares way more about the collective success of his team than personal achievement. His commitment to his family, academics and community despite some adverse times in high school has helped him develop a wisdom and maturity beyond his years. McNamara will step on the Michigan campus on Day 1 and immediately earn the respect of his coaches and teammates.”
That is some high praise for a high schooler, especially coming from a former NFL quarterback who knows the ins and outs of the game, and that is without Dilfer even mentioning how he plays the game. McNamara can zip it, as evidenced below.
He will joined a loaded quarterback room when he steps on campus, but with true freshman Joe Milton getting some playing time this year, it’s not out of the realm of possibility we could see McNamara on the field in 2019. He’ll have his shot, much like everyone else.
