In an unsurprising move, 2019 4-star running back Eric Gray has decided to open up his recruitment, per his Twitter account.

This news was expected after Gray’s multiple visits to Tennessee and Ole Miss throughout the season. While emphasizing how important it was for him to visit Michigan’s campus for a game, he canceled his two planned trips to Ann Arbor.
The second cancellation for the Indiana game was the most telling, as it was the final chance to witness a Michigan home game.
The 247Sports crystal ball has been trending toward the in-state Volunteers, considering he visited Knoxville three times during the season.
Gray’s decommitment leaves Michigan with one running back in the class, 4-star Zach Charbonnet. It’s unclear if the staff would look to add another prospect at the position, given how full the class is getting. They did offer 3-star DJ Williams yesterday, who is an Appalachian State commit, but has picked up offers from Georgia, Miami and Auburn lately.
The 2019 Michigan class now has 24 members, and is eighth in the country and first in the Big Ten.
