The Michigan Wolverines received their first verbal commitment of the 2020 class Tuesday night, as wide receiver Kalil Branham committed to the program. He made the news official on Twitter.

Branham is listed at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds. He is the 36th ranked receiver and 322nd overall player, and a 3-star, on 247Sports, but does not yet have a composite score.
Branham hails from Columbus, Ohio, otherwise known as “enemy territory.” His main recruiter is, you guessed it, Michigan linebackers coach Al Washington. The first-year Michigan coach is also from Columbus and has been doing wonders recruiting the area in his six months at U-M.
This commitment came out of nowhere, and honestly I did not know a damn thing about Branham until last night. But as you can see from the video below, this guy is fast as hell.
Branham is already trying to recruit one of the top recruits in the 2020 class to Michigan, as well — 5-star offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr., who is from nearby Cincinnati, Ohio. Washington is also the primary recruiter for Johnson Jr.
now I want my dude @ParisJohnsonJr to join the winningest team in College football history, the Harvard of the Midwest. Go Blue! Come be a Michigan Man for Life. our dads know each other #letsgettherings #GoBlue #branhamboys pic.twitter.com/gblcZm8y07

I like this kid already.
Welcome to Michigan, Kalil.
