It doesn’t happen every day a recruit’s father announces his son’s top three schools, but this is one of those rare (and fun) instances.
Aeneas DiCosmo, a 3-star defensive end/linebacker from New Jersey, narrowed his list to three schools — Notre Dame, Stanford and the Michigan Wolverines. As alluded to, his dad’s Twitter account was the source of news here.
From Top 5 down to 3 for @aeneas_dicosmo : Notre Dame, Michigan, Stanford. Each offer to play a different position with one common thread: elite academics at the highest level of athletics. Unbelievable. Congrats kid. Very creative! #GoIrish #FearTheTree #GoBlue #AdventureTime pic.twitter.com/m9YF8KbITa

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder is being recruited by Michigan at SAM linebacker, a position played by Mike McCray last season. He visited Ann Arbor last weekend and is scheduled to participate in The Opening in Dallas this weekend.
If he were to commit to the maize and blue, DiCosmo would be the second linebacker in the 2019 class, joining 3-star Charles Thomas.
Stanford currently leads the 247Sports Crystal Ball with 59 percent. Michigan holds 35 percent and Boston College (for reasons unknown) holds the remaining six percent.
I don’t believe this decision will be dragged out for much longer. Now that he has made it down to his final three, I would expect a decision before the end of the summer. Odds are, it will come before that.
Stay tuned, folks.
