Joining the Wolverines in his top six are Alabama, Ohio State, Purdue, Nebraska and Kentucky.
Robinson is listed at 5-foot-9-and-a-half and 179 pounds. The Frankfort, Kentucky native is the fourth-best all-purpose back and the 315th overall talent in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
The Wolverines are in pursuit of at least one more running back in the 2019 class. It will really either come down to Robinson or 4-star Giles Jackson, who recently lit it up at The Opening Finals.
The 247Sports crystal ball is pretty divided for Robinson, with 29 percent of the predictions going to Ohio State, another 29 percent going to the hometown school of Kentucky, and another 29 percent — which should be gone soon — going to Duke. The final 14 percent is cloudy.
Al Washington and Jim McElwain have been doing the heavy lifting in Robinson’s recruitment. Robinson made his official visit to Ann Arbor on June 22, along with pretty much every other high-ranked prospect sought after by Michigan.
According to 247Sports, Robinson carried the ball 177 times during his junior year for 2,330 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also had 25 receptions for 343 yards and 6 touchdowns.
