College football recruiting is starting to heat up as we get closer to fall camp and the season. One of the top rated players in the 2019 class is 5-star safety Daxton Hill.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma native is currently the eighth-ranked overall recruit in the 2019 class, the top-ranked safety and top-ranked in his home state of Oklahoma, according to 247Sports’ composite. Oklahoma has been the heavy favorite to land him over Oklahoma State, Alabama and Michigan.

A 247Sports expert covering the Sooners in Oklahoma put in his crystal ball selection on Wednesday and his pick was for Michigan.

This was the first prediction to select the Wolverines, and the most recent pick by all the experts able to put in crystal ball predictions, which for someone outside of Michigan or the Midwest region is very promising.

Now, Michigan’s 247Sports expert Sam Webb said Thursday morning on WTKA he is not ready to put in his crystal ball after this expert from outside the region submitted his prediction on Wednesday.

Regardless, Hill is an elite talent and one that could definitely boost Michigan’s 2019 class rankings, which is currently the ninth best class overall and second in the Big Ten.

His official visit is scheduled for Sept. 15 when Michigan plays SMU at the Big House.
