Some people have trouble choosing between pants and shorts (with this heat wave, always go shorts).
Houston, Texas native Zachary Evans, the unanimous top-ranked junior RB, now has 25 choices for his future school, as he announced via Twitter last night.
Blessed to be in this position

Evans stands at 5-foot-11, weighs 200 pounds and boasted impressive measurables with Team Impact at The Opening Finals in Dallas. He recorded a 4.51 laser-timed 40-yard dash, the top 20-yard shuttle at 3.91 and a 34-inch vertical to rank him near the top in SPARQ ratings.
He averaged eight yards per carry en route to 1,483 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns last year in Texas’ highest football classification.
Michigan finds themselves among a forest of teams in the running for his services. Right now, 247 lists LSU, Texas, Alabama and Texas A&M as the only teams with “warm” interest. Most predictions are saying he’ll be in Baton Rouge or Austin.
Evans attends talent-laden North Shore High in Houston, which has never sent a prospect to Ann Arbor. The last Houston-area commitment for Michigan was St. Pius X linebacker Kellen Jones in 2011 (never made it to Michigan, and transferred between Oklahoma, Clemson and Wisconsin).
The 2019 class currently boasts two 4-star backs in Zach Charbonnet and Eric Gray. While Evans may be a quixotic, Najee Harris-esque pursuit, Jim Harbaugh and company are in good position with top running backs such as Tucson 4-star Bijan Robinson.
Evans’ highlights are...impressive.
