One of Michigan’s top prospects at the linebacker position in the 2019 class recently shrunk his list of top schools, and that is nothing but good news for the Wolverines because they made the cut.
In an interview with The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb at The Opening Finals last week ($), 4-star Kalen Deloach admitted he narrowed his list of schools down to four, and Michigan is one of those schools.
Deloach’s final four includes Michigan, Florida State, Auburn and Alabama.
The Savannah, Georgia native is the 20th ranked outside linebacker and 308th overall player in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is listed at 6-foot, 206 pounds.
Florida State currently holds the crystal ball lead with 50 percent of the predictions. South Carolina holds another 30 percent, with the remaining 20 percent being split between Auburn and cloudy.
Michigan currently has just one linebacker committed to the 2019 class — 3-star Charles Thomas. Michigan’s class is ranked fifth in the country with its 19 total commitments.
Don Brown and Al Washington are doing the head recruiting for Deloach, so it’s no wonder he included Michigan in his top four. The defensive staff, especially Washington, have been doing amazing things on the recruiting trail during this recruiting class, so to consistently have highly-ranked prospects like Deloach speak highly about the program is a obviously a great thing to see.
Deloach told Webb he plans on making some official visits and making a final decision after his senior season, so don’t expect a decision to be made from him for quite some time.
